that the pregnant guy (this person with an abnormally big belly took a pregnancy test and it came up positive) from grey's anatomy season2episode7 - something to talk about probably had a tumour of the germinal epithelium! i think la.

the germinal cells can differentiate into almost any type of cell, and the tumours contain multiple tissues such as placental tissue, hair, teeth, bone, skin etc, all found in the same teratoma i.e. tumorous mass. these tumours often secrete few hormones but if a significant quantity of placental tissue develops, it may secrete large quantities of hCG. also, estrogenic hormones are sometimes secreted by these tumours and cause the condition called gynecomastia (overgrowth of breasts)

BUT i have no idea why his teratoma's in his abdomen instead of his testis. unless his testis never descended which would be kinda weird seeing as his wife is pregnant too. unless his wife cheated on him. HMMM.

...and im back! what a fantastic trip. and yes hon, i managed not to get throttled by manyspeedos. mainly because no-one actually understood what i was saying :D boy, am i stuffed with gooood foood. thai tehping and green curry and chicken tomyam for 6 days.

call one person back home and suddenly when i come back everyone's asking about my eye :D you guys are really great. yes my eye is okay, it just looks really gross (a good thing!) and totally worth it for the 2 minutess of nervous anticipation and 30 seconds of pure gigglespinbouncescream exhilaration. itkz you must go bungee! IT IS GREAT. (says the adrenaline-junkie)

many exciting stories. most unsuitable for polite company, but all true. will share next dinner/lunch/breakfast or anythinginbetween :) lets meet up soon!

Hello all. Now that you all have attended a full choir concert, you all must conclude that eyebrow movement is common throughout the choir for expressivity! So its not my fault!

Nevertheless, I look forward to free botox from whoever-becomes-plastic-surgeon when I look like Prof Hwang.

Thanks all for your well wishes! Tomorrow I shall be off to the land of Kiwis, a few days before itkz, whom I will still miss anyway, cos when he goes he goes north, when I go home then he comes down to the south. Me, I'm always in the south. So yes, I will miss him very badly! But I also will miss Alvin alot. Without him around, we all just lack that extra boost of T3 and T4.

so after ian's initial never-bring-ticket scare, we managed to get 2nd row seats on the first floor of vch. we were possibly sitting behind annoyed parents, because i was having a laughing fit, because there wasn't just one funny looking person, most of them were funny looking AND the boys did the most hilarious "dance" moves - they did communist actions and shrugged alternate shoulders to the beat of some worship the sun song. the first half was fine, with a nice opening song and liwei dressed in his most china man outfit. the second half was nice too because of the funny coconut song (another laughing fit) and nice songs at the end by the alumni choir. but even so, ian fell asleep a lot. haha look! out of niceness i didn't post that awful photo =p

halo halo!

I'm finally here to blog. Suppose to give a report on slpover at iantankaizhi's place. bean, baos, remember to post the pics :) aha.. dinner was at holland v. then everyone went over to iantankaizhi's place to slack.

Watched destiny's child concert in atlanta and transamerica. Yes yes, beyonce is hot. and the ziggler guy is cute.

Drove out for prata opp beauty world at 3am b4 heading to ECP for a stroll. aha.. we went mad. Blasted boy-band singalong songs with the car windows open. imagine tt, on PIE. and rous did imitated ziggler by sticking her hand outta the window. Ahh.. i wonder how the pics of us in the car will turn out to b like :)

anyway we did not manage to catch sunrise. Had to head back to iantankaizhi's place at 6ish. Fell aslp like pigs :) and now i'm higgggghh from all the fun we had.

oh yes i forgot to mention something. and this deserves a post all on its own.

guys, please take a look at musicforgood's 13-hour music marathon on saturday: broadcast. a lot of absolutely-fantastic bands are going (astreal, klphq, observatory and lilac saints) and all profits go to help youth in crisis. a lot of the bands on the list are phenomenal, but either aren't based here or don't play gigs regularly. so it's really a very rare chance to see them play.

even if the most challenging music you listen to is blue and the only local band you know is electrico, please come down to have a nice time on a saturday evening, support local bands, and help a charity make some money. its a win-win proposition! i know i'll be going down myself so do gimme a ring if you're interested at all yup?

hello all you 3stanis! rouan has been busy extorting money from hapless doctors and tickling cute babies. anyway inspired by emily's post (but not by ian's offer of speedos! hah! i dont like speedos k! :D) i have decided to cheer this suddenly-deadblog up with my beguiling presence.

ai and bean and i had a minithomson3stan gathering at liquidkitchen/icekimo/longhouse on sunday. fattening fun. any 3stani possessing a car/bike/sense of fun can join us next time if they wish.

i spent the whole of monday walking around in terrible office clothes begging money from stingy lousy doctors. but we did have delicious steak sandwiches at morton's after that. yum.

It all began at siloso, the guy with the blue speedos. ( ok. imagine a rather tan guy with a slightly muscled body wearing sky blue speedos. not bad looking. ) RouAn stared at him. Speedos! Speedos! So we began to play beach soccer and there we were kicking the ball around before it started and oops, RouAn hit the ball near the guy with blue speedos. Ahh. Blue speedos, i like thinks RouAn. So during soccer, the guy with blue speedos scores a goal. RouAn thinks: Wow. My guy with blue speedos scored a goal! It's my chance to touch him. Bravely, she goes up to him. once again i see the overhead picture and BEG bean to change that group pic cos i look (according to hon) like an alien! please do change it. i look at it and turn my face away, unable to bear the AWFULNESS of that photo.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... splash is correct. except that happened to me EVERY SINGLE TIME. yes. sadly (this word is an understatement), i was the ONLY one who couldn't stand on the stupid board and stand up, gliding on the water victoriously. and due to my lack of muscles, i wussed out very early in the day and started what zhenjin said, photo whoring. Yes. most all of the photos and videos of pple ahhh-splashing are taken by me! of that i am only proud to a certain extent.

yes. i made new friends and i'm aching all over. everywhere hurts. can't bathe, change, eat properly. sitting down hurts too. oh. our gluts hurt. did i mention that i am still aching all over? yes i am. the trip was fun though. RA, you did a good job la and all worked out well in the end.

OH. don't believe hon's blog. project demure was put on hold during batam trip. all the vulgarities were flying around in the air again! chingchiangchiang. it all started when mag didn't answer her phone. ALL THE WAY to the last part where we were anxiously waiting for our bus.

goodness i thought batam trip was fun. i am aching all over now, the last two days have been another exercise in anatomy (ian: "common flexor origin").

i shan't talk too much about the trip cos i sort of planned it (albeit very messily and blur-rily) so to say nice things about it would be very boastful. but i thought it was great fun! so ian and/or hon please blog about the batam trip in glowing terms soon and make me happy! haha.

Hello all! Thanks for coming to my wonderful birthday bash lunch thing today. It really made my day! Esp the cake. WASEH. The cake was damn good la. It was delicious and i could taste the cadbury chocolate that was ever so carefully melted together with milk to make the UMPPHH chocolate taste of the Simple (yet elegant) Chocolate Cake. Yes! Kudos to em and itkz for making such a lovely cake! I would like to give special thanks to itkz for walking ALL THE WAY to em's house in the morning through all the construction sites, causing him to sneeze along the way Just to bake the cake. Yum.

Err. I like the dress too! 3stanis, ya'll are too wonderful! OMG. (waves hand on to face because i'm going to cry and my face is heating up. but actually i'm so dark, you cannot see me blush) I love the dress so much! It really makes me feel so ever demure! Ooh lala. Yes. I know i'll never look like what the mannequin looked like in Espirit. Much exercise and a careful diet is neccessary! :)

haha. ian! i am bored too. never mind, let's have a stayover soon. and we can make fondue, and eat brownies, and have lots and lots of fattening food and play in ian's pool (did i just invite myself over to your house ian? sorry haha) after the cableskiing trip-- which by the way had lousy turnout of 3stanis. i am ashamed of all of you, ashamed :(

but yes today's viva was hilariouslyhorrifying filled with weird questions about epithelium and cancer and whatnots
how on earth are we supposed to know that epithelium differ from normal cells because they are polarised?!?!
n i cleverly forgot what forms NAPQI and got stared at by profsit

and my freaking wisdom tooth decides to come out now. thank goodness it didn't erupt during exams, because a grumpy, hungry, cannot-close-mouth (it can be argued that i don't close it often enough anyway), cannot-swallow rouan is a rouan you should not cross. or give exam papers to and expect passing grades from.

dentists! what is up with them? i should've gone into dentistry. i called them on thursday, and they give me a saturday appointment, for a consult. are they that busy? (rolling in cash, them, considering that a mere scaling costs 70+ bucks) or is the entire population of toa payoh lorong 1, 3, 4 and braddell view so reliant on them that they can pick and choose customers at will? do they just throw darts at a calendar pinned to the wall?

yes, my tooth hurts. i hate to admit it, but it hurts. no metallic taste on the posterior two-thirds of my tongue though. how unfulfilling.

watched that dancing movie with antonio banderas in it. what a funky movie! lame, cliched, sister-act-coach-carter plot, but awesome funky hiphop and breakdance! yay to awesome RnB dancers.

since i've escaped vivas i can start planning batam cableski trip! (hon is saying yay now.) guys, please comfirm attendance or interest. details are as enumerated in email: 150 bucks roughly for 2 days. if you want a day excursion to batam it can be done too for about 80-90 bucks depending on the number of people going i think. email, message, msn, whatever. respondezsilvousplait.
